英语口语：Freak Out 反常反应 

William : Hello and welcome to another exciting edition of Authentic Real English. My name is William Kremer. 大家好，欢迎来到另一期激动人心的地道美语。我是威廉·克莱默。

Feifei : 大家好，我是冯菲菲。Uh! William! 你的手怎么都流血了！

William : Oh, it's a long story. 哦，一言难尽。

Feifei : No, go on. 别，说吧。

William : Well... I invited some friends over to my house last night while my wife was seeing her mother. And, I don't know how it happened but... somehow or other... some red wine got spilled on my carpet. 嗯……昨晚我邀请一些朋友到我的住处，当时我的妻子去看望她妈妈。我不知道是怎么发生的……莫名其妙地，一些红酒溅到了我的地毯上了。

Feifei : 有红酒洒在你的地毯上了……

William : Yes, and of course it's a white carpet. 是的，当然是因为地毯是白色的。

Feifei : Oh no... 哦，不……

William : And then when my wife came home she saw the stain and totally freaked out. So I had to spend the whole night scrubbing the carpet; that's why I've got bleeding hands. 但是后来我妻子看到地毯上的污渍有点抓狂。所以我用了一整夜的时间把地摊上的红酒刷干净；这就是我手磨出血的原因。

Feifei : 你太太让你用了一整夜时间把地毯上的红酒印刷干净，所以你的手都磨出血了！不过 William，你刚才用的那个词是什么来着？Your wife saw the stain and...? 你妻子看到污渍，然后什么？

William : My wife saw the stain and freaked out. To freak out, it means to react to something in an extreme way. 我妻子看到污渍，然后抓狂。这个词，是极端的不正常的反常反映的意思。

Feifei : To freak out 就是说对某事做出了非常极端的反应。那William，这个说法一般是来形容人被惹得特别生气的这种情况吗？

William : Well, we do use it a lot when people get really angry, like my wife over the wine. But people also freak out when they are scared by something or confused or upset. 嗯，当有人真的很生气的时候，我们用这个词，比如我的妻子看到地毯上的污渍。但是当对一些事情由于害怕感到不解和沮丧的时候我们也可以用这个词。

Feifei : 那么我们也可以用它来形容由于某事的发生而产生的突然的恐惧、迷茫、或者悲痛的情绪和反应。

A : Darren! I thought you were dead! 达伦！我以为你死了！

B : It's Ok Lucy. I'm not a ghost, so don't freak out. 好吧，露西。我不是幽灵，所以不要害怕。
